Hari Raya Aidilfitri

Empire Shopping Gallery 2011 & 2012

Malaysia's multi-culture and multi-ethnic background has always been the main attraction to our visitors from all over the world. Festive decorations in shopping malls, busy streets, convention centre, hotels, etc are some of the best ways to introduce our unique culture. The Malay traditional attap houses with typical interior decoration, Malay food stalls selling durian dodols, 'kuih-muih', 'ketupat', and traditional games like 'congkak', 'wau' (traditional kite) represent the original and simple life style of the Malays in the country.

However, the design never remains unchanged for the same festive season. The utilization of traditional Arabian buildings, such as mosque with figurative paintings, dome and walls with arabesque patterns, the typical Middle East trees -palm trees, and the most common and traditional human transport –camels, is in fact inviting the Muslims from around the world to celebrate their festival together.
